Alan Johnson Steps the Frame for Bigger Rear Tires
Street Rodder — Gerry Burger on Jan. 22, 2015
Alan Johnson has studied the 1932 Ford Deuce and in the process he has mastered the fine art of subtle modifications. Many of the changes Johnson makes to a Deuce go unnoticed to the untrained eye, and even those steeped in Deuce knowledge often miss some of the details. The end result is a '32 Ford that "just looks better than it should."
Because the unique framerail on the '32 Ford is also an exterior body panel, the chassis follows the outer line of the car very closely, and the contours of the body are repeated in the shape of the framerails. While this makes for a great looking car it also poses some problems, not the least of which is the rear framerail limits the width of the rear tire.

Shakedown Runs for New Driver
9/12/2014 - 6:01 pm CT
Stupidbaker is starting things off slowly with new driver Don Enriquez to get him some important seat time.
The first of two runs was just completed at a speed of around 130 mph. He started the run at the 3 mile and went to through the timed mile at mile 6.
The plan is for one more run today, increasing the length by a mile and picking the speed up a little. More news as we get it.

Standing Water Cancels Speed Week
SCTA — August 9, 2014
The SCTA Board is currently on the salt, and has determined that the standing water will not dry in time for us to hold our annual Speed Week event. The Board is also discussing the possibility of extending our next event - World Finals (Sep 30 - Oct 3) into a full week of racing as a sort of delayed Speed Week. We Thank You all for your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing you at our next event.

SCTA Moves Schedule Out a Day
SCTA on Facebook
Okay, the pics that were posted a little while ago of the shin deep water on the salt is the Pit Area. There is currently 1"-2" of water on some of the courses. They are waiting to see how much of the water recedes by tomorrow before making any official announcements.
We know this sucks not knowing what is going to happen and we do apologize. Mother Nature just had her way with us last night. We will update you as soon as we have any further information.
